The readership of the U.S. Military Campgrounds and RV Parks website has named its best military campgrounds for 2009. Eagle Hammock RV Park at Kings Bay Navy Submarine Base was named the best in the East. Agave Gulch FamCamp, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., was voted best in the West for the third straight year.

I can't believe that Fort Sam Houston did not even make the list. Spaces are large, it is quiet, with grass, patios, picnic tables, paved roads, dog run, club house. Their trees need to grow a little and then it will be even better.
I certainly would not put Agave' over Desert Eagle either. Agave' has small spaces, no grass, minimum shade, and very small social area. Desert Eagle has mature trees, larger spaces, paved roads, great landscaping and large common area.
